Below is a list of our current classes, running at least once per week.

Junior MMA – “Fundamentals”

This Junior MMA class is designed for younger children just beginning their martial arts journey.

Junior MMA – “Core”

Once the fundamentals are learnt children progress to a wider range and more detailed curriculum.

Junior MMA – “Advanced”

This class is when children are entering their final stage of our junior curriculum. Upon completion of this stage they’ll have the skillset and knowledge to enter into our adults classes.

Junior BJJ

Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes are perfect for any junior wanting to learn one of the most functional forms of self-defence out there.

Junior Sparring

The junior sparring classes at Kraken are a chance for any invited kids to test their skills learnt in class against a resisting opponent

Strength & Conditioning

Our Strength and Conditioning for Fighters classes are designed and taught by fighters, for fighters and non-fighters alike.

MMA (Beginners)

In our MMA beginners classes our experienced coaches will break down the very basics of MMA and help you get started on your journey.

MMA

Our MMA program is designed to cover all aspects of Mixed Martial Arts from striking, grappling, ground work, submissions, clinch, cage wall work and controlled technical sparring.

MMA Beginners Course

60 min

This is our six week beginners course here at our gym in Bedford. It is aimed towards those with either none or very little martial arts or combat experience.

Submission Grappling / BJJ

90 min

In this class you’ll learn to use leverage, grip knowledge, position plus tactical skills and problem solving to successfully defend against opponents.

Wrestling

90 min

Here at Kraken we offer wrestling specific coaching sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday night. The techniques coached in these sessions are mainly Olympic Freestyle techniques with some influences from Sambo and other lesser known regional styles.

Judo

60 min

Kraken Judo classes teach traditional Judo techniques but with a twist.

BJJ

90 min

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is widely regarded as one of the most effective martial arts for ‘real life’ scenarios on the planet. This was proved during the beginnings of MMA, in particularly the UFC.

Kickboxing

60 min

Our kickboxing classes are there to focus on the striking aspects of MMA. Classes will teach a variety of different striking techniques and combinations.

Rolling

60 min

(No Instructor) This is a scheduled no coach session for members to come in and roll with one another.
